Stained Glass Windows

The church features many beautiful stained glass windows.
John Minshull wrote in his book A Short History and Description of St. Mary's Church Sandbach :
Moving down the aisle, the richly-coloured stained glass windows are worthy of close inspection. Each has its own story to tell, this side of the church representing chiefly the life of David. Old manuscripts by Lawrence Bostock dated 29th August 1572 give descriptions of stained glass in both north and south aisles of St. Mary's, probably about the position of the original chapels, but these seem to have been replaced during the 1849 restoration with the existing installations. The names and dates are recorded either under each window or incorporated in the actual stained glass
In the chapels and chancels is stained glass by William Wailes , and in the north aisle is a window by Charles Eamer Kempe
